Center for the Promotion of Science

The CPN is a government institution competent for the promotion and the popularization of science.
The Centre was created in spring 2010, and its establishment enacted by the Law on Scientific research (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia” No. 18/10). After officially becoming recognized as a public institution (registered on 23rd November 2010), pursuant to the Law, the Centre took competence over the promotion of science from the competent ministry. However, the Centre is more than just an ordinary public institution.
The CPN is part of the overall strategic plan for the development of Serbia as a knowledge based economy, constant innovation and networking being its essential resources.
The idea to create the Centre emerged from the need to bring science closer to the population, as a necessary condition to increase the general scientific literacy and thus assure the future technological progress in Serbia. After years of crisis, science remained isolated from the society and a larger public in general, so the State took the necessary initiative to bridge this gap.
On the other hand, during the past few years, a number of individual initiatives aimed at science promoting emerged throughout Serbia. In order to support and strengthen these activities, the Republic of Serbia assigned the Centre the task to stimulate, strengthen and bind together all these initiatives and create a large front for scientific culture widespread.
Thanks to the financial agreement with the European Bank of Investment, the Republic of Serbia should build a whole new impressive building for the Centre on a location in Block 39 in New Belgrade. The building in itself represents a daring combination of imagination, technology and progress. It will host a interactive exhibition of scientific phenomena, a planetarium, different labs, conference halls, lecture rooms and a Kids Science Club.

Polytechnic University of Turin

Politecnico di Torino is known both in Italy and abroad as a leading institution to study engineering and architecture. Tradition combines with innovation to make its campus a stimulating environment offering a wealth of opportunities.
Our university has around 32,000 students, with 50% from outside the region and about 15% who are foreign - the highest percentage in Italy. Our degrees are internationally recognised and students can choose to follow degree courses taught in English or, thanks to our links with some of the most prestigious universities around the world, undertake periods of study abroad as part of their course.
Students choose Politecnico di Torino for its established reputation, for being highly selective and sometimes even "tough". However, we do reward students for merit and provide a strong basis for future career success. Students who are looking for a thorough education which is relevant to the job market or who are interested in research and a multidisciplinary approach will be attracted to what our university has to offer. Graduates from Politecnico of Turin receive an education that goes far beyond technical knowledge.
Politecnico di Torino offers a multicultural study environment and has a close relationship to businesses, which share our premises and work with us on many projects giving students the opportunity to gain work experience while still at university.
The "Cittadella Politecnica" is a new campus area where research, teaching and training go hand in hand with local and student services as well as financial and cultural activities. It also houses the Business Research Center, where various international companies have established their most advanced research centers, and the Polo Venture Capital, which provides real opportunities for developing research. The new areas also contain classrooms, study rooms, a canteen and a sports center which will open shortly.
Politecnico di Torino is therefore a true research university, where education and research combine to meet the real needs of the local area and economy and most importantly those of the students.
The Politecnico offers a unique experience for students who want to shape their own future.

University of Liege

The University of Liege's pluralistic vision, its openess to political, social, technological and industrial realities, and its active involvement in European and international research programs as well as those facilitating student and researcher mobility are some of the values our University prides itself on and which give it its unique identity.
The development of the University of Liege over the next few years will require the active involvement of a great number of individuals from the scientific, economic, political and cultural domains. Expected to play a leading role are ULg graduates, men and women who, whether living in the Liege area, elsewhere in Belgium or abroad, all share a common attachment to Liege and its university.
In reality, the University of Liege's capacity to have an impact on the region and the world will largely depend on its ability to attract new sponsors. The University needs to raise several million euros in order to take up the challenges facing it: the financing of research, new chairs, and grants and infrastructures, and the creation of an accrued capital fund to guarantee that activities undertaken can be sustained over the long term.
The commitment of ULg graduates and companies to ULg, its teachers and researchers, is such that we are confident that this new challenge will be met.
