A two-day seminar for young researchers was held at the University of East Sarajevo at 15 th and 16 th September 2017. This training – seminar included lectures and workshops on topics: project
management, intercultural communication, ethics in research and entrepreneurship. Vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance of UES, professor Dejan Bokonjić, during the opening of the training, pointed out that organizing such seminars is important for young researchers, so they could exchange experiences and strengthen the research work segment. Research has crucial importance for the development of higher education institutions. Vice-rector Bokonjić noted that the funding for such projects in BiH is limited, and that it is extremely important to take the opportunity to participate in this and similar international programs.
60 researchers from the University of East Sarajevo and the University of have been registered for participation in the seminar. The lecturers were the prominent professors from the University of
Coventry, professor Peter Harrison and professor Isabelle Halleux from University of Liege. The aim of organizing a two-day seminar is to improve the skills of young university researchers in the
region in terms of planning and conducting research, participation in research projects and the foundations of entrepreneurship.
